Hidden hot spots in Saugus

I love going to a pumpkin patch in October.

One of my most favorite pumpkin patches is at "Lombardi Ranch" in Saugus, Santa Clarita which is about 45 minutes north of LAX on the 5 freeway.

*You can go to this farm using the 14 freeway but I recommend using the 5 freeway and exit Magic Mountain Pkwy.

Lombardi Ranch makes you feel totally country side.

This is a very large pumpkin patch with hay rides, a choo-choo train, food stands, farm animals, a corn maze, sunflower fields and live music, however it is free admission and parking!

My favorite spot is "Scarecrow Alley" in the sunflower field.

You can walk around or ride a wagon to see.

This scarecrow contest is held once a year in first weekend of October and you can see the scarecrows until end of October.

The contest categories are divide by age. A is under 10, B is 11-17, C in over 18.

Some of them are really scary...

It's not all about scary because there are many cute and unique ones too.

Of course you will find a perfect pumpkin here.

They also sell their home grown produce such as tomatoes, peppers and corn.

This corn was 7 for $3.50 that is a great price! I boiled them at home to eat and the taste was super sweet and juicy. I will be back here to just get this corn!
